Support the implementation of the category strategy with the objective to drive a sustainable procurement value, manage risks and stakeholders while thriving for operational and transnational excellence. Negotiate and conclude contracts with suppliers ensuring adherence to policies and processes. Administrate supplier and contract data used for financial or category analysis/report purposes.
. Support the definition and implementation of the category strategy for efficient sourcing aligned to business needs / priorities.
. Perform simple analysis using internal as well as external data to understand impact of market trends, competitors and suppliers on internal business requirements.
. Negotiate and conclude contracts with suppliers, if required with support from the category manager and/or in cooperation with Legal team, driving Procurement`s CSR and sustainability agenda.
. Oversee fulfillment of contract ensuring adherence to all terms while striving for operational and transactional excellence,
. Best-in-class supplier relationship management: build relationship with key suppliers, manage them actively and execute performance / quality controls.
. Ensure compliance by delivering against policies governance, processes and procurement standards
. Understand category related risks such as price volatility, supplier stability and volume assurance, report potential threats to category manager.
. Support category manager in initiatives/projects aiming at value creation / continuous improvement
. Ensure good stakeholder management by actively engaging with people, understanding their needs / requirements and provide meaningful solutions.
. Support category manager in delivering against targets/KP.
. Act as a change agent for continuous improvement in sourcing, governance, and value delivery
.Support functional and financial reporting by maintaining appropriate documentation of sourcing / contracting data
Please take note this contract is a one year assignment
• Academic background: appropriate University/bachelor degree qualification is essential. A recognised qualification in procurement would be considered an asset.
• Experience: Extensive knowledge of spend area at hand is preferred, with substantial professional experience of minimum 4 years in the same functional domain or other related positions.
• Proficiency in English essential
• Good ability to maintain an accurate pipeline of value creation opportunities including benefits calculation.
• Strong ability to evaluate data sources and conduct spend and demand analysis to derive fact-based insights.
• Good ability to build internal long term relationship and engage with stakeholders.
• Good ability to challenge assumptions and influence business partners.
